Shia LaBeouf and Jim Gaffigan

A very fun last-minute booking came into Bell Sound today. We got a call do to a Source-Connect session, knowing only that the director and producer would be here at 3pm and the talent would be in New York.

Turns out that Shia LaBeouf was the director, and Jim Gaffigan was the talent in New York! LaBeouf is submitting a short movie starring Gaffigan to Cannes Film Festival, and they needed to record some wild lines, voice-over, and ADR. It was so much fun to be part of that stellar collaboration!

This session also gave us a chance to heavily test our new upgrade to Source-Connect 3.6 in Studio D. It worked fantastically!

House of the Crocodiles

House of the Crocs

Bell Sound had a long ADR recording session today with Vijessna Ferkic, who plays Louise in the German movie Das Haus Der Krokodile (House of the Crocodiles) from Constantin Film and Rat Pack Filmproduktion. Vijessna was fantastic, extremely good at matching her previous takes, and what a trooper! This picture was taken at the end of the day in Studio A.

The Grey

Came in to Studio A over the weekend to record DVD commentary for The Grey. Director Joe Carnahan and editors Roger Barton and Jason Hellmann were fantastic, providing interesting behind-the-scenes details and compelling anecdotes throughout the entire movie. And producer Adam Hauck brought along a bottle of scotch, which made the commentary even more enjoyable. Listen for the ice cubes clinking!

Wildest Latin America – Day 2

Have you heard of the Iguacu Falls? Neither had we, until today’s Wildest Latin America recording session! They’re a series of 275 falls located in Foz do Iguacu. In the wet season up to 3 million gallons flow over the edge every second – that’s 18,000 Olympic pools every hour!
